Antique 5" Sad Iron with wooden handle and Wooden knob. When the wooden knob is pulled upwards, the handle is released from the iron.  The same motion is repeated to replace the handle back onto the iron bottom. The handle would only be lifted off when the iron was put on the heat source to reheat the iron body. 
Quaintmarks is adding in the vintage Royal Trivet to accompany the Sad Iron.  The Royal trivet measures 5¾"x 4½" Both are in good condition and could use some loving. Please contact Katie at QuaintMarks with any questions you might have.
