This wonderful matchstand-ashtray, with two cigarette snuffers, was used by Missouri Pacific Lines in their dining cars for travelers! Please see pictures for best description. This thick wall ashtray shows as dark blue, but cobalt blue under direct light. The oval base measures approximately 6" by 4" and stands 2 ¾" inches tall. 
A faint Hall China mark is shown on the bottom of the ashtray, totally intriguing. It weighs just over one pound to ensure minimal movement during traveling. Both sides of this matchstand have the Missouri Pacific Lines logo to see. Normal wear and age for this wonderful piece.  And beautiful ashtray for display or use with a wonderful travel history!
